w. Carter burton - chief executive officer

Mr. Burton became the CEO of Republic Spine after previously serving as the President and CEO of a middle market spine company in Austin, TX. Prior to that, he led GE Capital's medical device investment originations. He brings over 12 years of experience in merger/acquisitions and leveraged finance deals to the team. Mr. Burton earned two master's from Northwestern University in business (Kellogg School of Management) and engineering (McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science) as well as a Bachelors in chemical engineering.


Rusty McCarver - president & Chief operating officer

Mr. McCarver is a Co-Founder, President and COO of Republic Spine. His career has focused entirely on the spine industry and has held senior leadership positions in both product design and sales prior to entering the executive ranks. Mr. McCarver began his career at Danek, a company which grew into Medtronic spine and the largest spine company in the world. Afterwards, he led a sales team at Stryker Spine and Orthofix before founding Republic Spine in 2013. Mr. McCarver earned a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Christian Brothers University.

Chris butler - chief financial officer

Mr. Butler is a Co-Founder and the CFO of Republic Spine. He is an accomplished entrepreneur and previously served as the CFO of numerous healthcare companies including a middle market spine company. His prior professional experience include merger and acquisition finance roles at GE Capital. Mr. Butler has a BS in Business from the Kenan Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina.

Brandon davis - executive vice president, business development

Mr. Davis is the EVP of Business Development for Republic Spine. He founded a distribution business in spine, orthopedics and trauma devices, which grew to be one of the largest distributors in the Southwest. His prior medical device experience includes sales roles with J&J's DePuy orthopedics unit and CR Bard. He also served with distinction in multiple combat deployments as an officer in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Davis earned a BS in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University, where he served as the regimental commander, Corps of Cadets in 1992.


James j. Doulgeris-director of quality systems and development

Mr. Doulgeris is the Director of Product Development and Quality Systems at Republic Spine. He is experienced in medical device design, development and approval. He has extensive experience in product approvals with the US FDA and is an expert in Spine Biomechanics/Finite Element Analysis. He performed his Ph.D work under the United Sates' most preeminent Neurosurgeon at Moffitt Cancer Center whilst running a NeuroSpine research Lab at the University of South Florida. Mr. Doulgeris completed all course work for a Ph.D in Biomedical engineering, has published 17 scientific NeuroSpine papers, earned a Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) and BS in Engineering while at the University of South Florida.


Kyle hutchens - Director of operations

Mr. Hutchens is the Director of Operations for Republic Spine. In this role, he leads all vendor and supply chain operations as as well as distributor fulfillment. He previously worked for Stryker Spine and other various medical device distribution businesses. Mr. Hutches earned a BS in Marketing from McMurry University.
